President William Ruto has suffered a set back after the High Court temporarily suspended the formation of a taskforce to fight corruption.
Issuing the order was Justice Bahati Mwamuye who said that the matter will remain suspended until when a case filed before the court is heard and determined.

“Pending the hearing inter parties and determination of the petitioners/applicants’ notice of motion application dated 20/08/25, a conservatory order be and is hereby issued staying the operation and implementation of, or the further operation and/or further implementation of, the Presidential proclamation on the establishment of multi-agency team on war against corruption’ issued under the hand and seal of the President of the Republic on 18/08/2025,” he said
The news comes barely days after the Head of State called out the Members of Parliament (MPs) for receiving bribe in exchange of passing favourable decision.
Speaking during a joint PPG involving both ODM and Kenya Kwanza MPs, President William Ruto said that some Legislators demand as high a Ksh 150 million.
