A video footage revealed how the legislator was whisked away using silver Subaru Forester bearing civilian registration plates.
“Juja MP George Koimburi has just been abducted again by the Subaru men. This time they grabbed him right outside Full Gospel Church in Mugutha where he had gone to worship.
Not even the screams from the worshippers could stop the DCI. And worse—his wife Mama Shiru is injured. She was forcefully removed from the Subaru after insisting she should be arrested together with her husband.
This is the second time. In broad daylight. Right after church. What kind of country are we becoming?” said Senator Karungo Wa Thang’wa.
The news comes at a time when there is a political tension between those allied to former DP Rigathi Gachagua and those in government.
