KCSE 2025 results: 1,932 candidates scored grade A as 270,000 candidates attained C+

The government through the Ministry of Education has anounced the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results.

In the latest results, 270,000 candidates who sat for the exam scored C+ and above thus securing a direct entry to university.

Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogamba met President William Ruto at the Eldoret State Lodge where he briefed him on the results before releasing them.

“At Eldoret State Lodge, Uasin Gishu County, briefed on the 2025 KCSE Examinations to be released today. We are impressed that out of the 993,000 candidates, 50 per cent of whom were girls, 270,000 attained C+ and above, securing a direct entry to university,” said President William Ruto

The Ministry confirmed that 1,932 candidates scored grade A, representing the highest peforming cohorts.

In 2024, 1,932 candidates scored grade A, while 246,391 candidates attained C+ and above granting them a direct entry to university.

A total of 418 case of  exam malpractices were reported in 2025, down from 614 cases which were reported in 2024.
