Kenya Power has confirmed the death of one of there security guard stationed at Stima Plaza Nairobi after he was shot in the stomach.
Through a statement, Kenya Power identified the security guard as Fred Wamale and that he was shot in the stomach at 4:30 pm outside the premise he was guarding for the day.

“We are deeply saddened to report that Fred Wamale Wanyonyi, a security guard stationed at our Stima Plaza headquarters, was fatally shot at the entrance of the building at 4:30 pm this evening during the ongoing protests,” said Kenya Power.
They continued by revealing that they are working with relevant authorities to unearth the circumstances leading to his death.
“We regret the unfortunate death of Wamale and are working with the relevant investigative organs to unearth the circumstances under which the incident occurred,” said the company.
According to the company, the deceased had been rushed to Mama Lucy hospital for treatment before he was confirmed dead on arrival.
