“The attention of The Nairobi Hospital has been drawn to a letter circulating in the media purporting to originate from an individual alleging to have been elected as the Chairman of the Kenya Hospital Association, the body that oversees the management of the Hospital.
No board meeting took place on the date alleged in the letter, and therefore no changes to the Board leadership (Chairman and Vice-Chairman) occurred as alleged. ” read the statement
The Chairman of the Kenya Hospital Association Dr. Barcley Onyambu further clarified that the hospital’s trade name is The Nairobi Hospital and not The Nairobi Hospital Convention Center as indicated in the letter.
“Kenya Hospital Association trades as “The Nairobi Hospital” and not “The Nairobi Hospital Convention Center” and any communication bearing a letterhead titled “The Nairobi Hospital Convention Center” is fraudulent and mischievous formulation aimed at misleading stakeholders and the public.” he said
Dr. Onyumba called on the public to verify information shared to them via the official communication channels.
“For the avoidance of doubt, all official communication concerning board matters is solely notified through the office of the Company Secretary, and that remains the position. We urge the public and media to treat any unofficial correspondence with caution and verify authenticity through our established channels.” he said
