The National Police Service (NPS) has confirmed the arrest of a police officer who was caught on camera shooting a unarmed civilian at Nairobi’s CBD.
Through a statement, NPS noted with great concern the incident which has shocked the country as it confirmed that the orders to arrest the police officer was an order from the Inspector General of police.

They continued by taking note of a group of armed people who were present during the demonstration saying that they will investigate the matter.
This follows questions as to who is financing the groups as they were visibly receiving protection from the police and acting on the peaceful protesters.
