One person is feared dead and another one sustained serious injuries following a grisly accident in Matungulu, Machakos County.
According to the police, the Thursday incident was self caused when the driver of the pick-up lost control along the Tala–Oldonyo Sabuk Road in the Katangini area.

Sources close to the media revealed that the pick-up was ferrying balast and inside it were two men when the accident occurred.
The source and eyewitness also revealed that the vehicle first hit a pothole before its tyre burst causing the vehicle to roll several times before it landed at a maize plantation as revealed through the pictures.
“Both men were hanging at the back of the pick-up when it hit a pothole. The driver lost control after a tyre burst, causing the vehicle to roll repeatedly,” said the source
Police who responded to the accident transferred the body of the deceased to Patjud Mortuary in Nguluni located within Matungulu Sub-county.
The injured was taken to Kangundo Level 4 Hospital for specialized treatment as the vehicle was towed to Tala Police Station.
