A multi-agency security team has arrested 14 suspected members of criminal gangs causing havoc in Kitale and its environs.
The 14 were arrested from Umoja, Kisumu Ndogo, Tuwani, Bondeni, and Mitume areas. They are currently undergoing profiling before they are arraigned in court.

The suspects are currently in custody undergoing profiling and processing, pending arraignment in court as the crackdown continues.” said DCI
The news follows complains from Kitale residents over the increased cases of theft in the region that has forced them to close their businesses early.
Those working within town, are forced to go home early so as to avoid meeting the gang members who are accused of hacking people as early as 6pm.
The police have also confirmed the existance of different gangs namely unseen and transformers who are behind the spat in insecurity in the area.
