The Energy Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has on Saturday confirmed an increase in the price of Super Petrol by Ksh2.69.
Through a statement, they also confirmed that pump prices of Diesel and Kerosene has decreased by Ksh.1.95 and Ksh.2.06 per litre for a period of one month under review.
“In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No.192 of 2022, we have calculated the maximum wholesale and retail prices of petroleum products which will be in force from 15th June 2025 to 14th July 2025.
In the period under review, the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol increases by KShs.2.69 per litre while Diesel and Kerosene decrease by KShs.1.95 and KShs.2.06 per litre respectively.
In Nairobi, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene now retail at Kshs.177.32, Kshs.162.91 and Kshs.146.93 effective midnight for the next 30 days.
The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.” said EPRA
