Former Prime Minister has now called on the government to compensate those who died and injured during the Gen Z led protest in the country.
Speaking from Homa Bay county during this year’s Madaraka day celebration, Raila welcomed recent apologies issued by President William Ruto and other leaders during the National prayer breakfast in Nairobi.

According to Raila, the apologies were a wonderful thing but compensation will close the matter once and for all.
“I saw that during the National Prayer Breakfast, there were apologies that were made, which was wonderful. The people who died and were injured during the Gen Z protest, I want to say that we should do compensation so that we can have closure on this chapter.” he said
