Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has called on Members of Parliament (MPs) to relinquish the control of NG-CDF to county governments.
The ODM party leader was speaking on Monday during a joint Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting of ODM and Kenya Kwanza at the KCB Leadership Centre in Karen.
The ODM leader continued by saying that MPs cannot oversee and implement the national government, saying that it is the work of the executive to implement the projects.

According to the former Prime Minister, the Senators should not be summoning governors as has been the case.
The statement has caused a debate on social media, with some Senators calling for a change in the constitution if the changes are to happen.
“Simple! 1. if National Assembly members want NG-CDF to continue and Raila Odinga doesn’t want the Senate to overseight Governors then let them amend the Constitution.” said Boni Khalwale.
Raila Odinga has been on the receiving end recently after he accused the media of being corrupt for reporting corruption news about the executive.
