A retired Major has on Monday been charged with defiling a 12-year-old girl, committing an indecent act with a child and trafficking in persons.
Major Antony Jakaa Mganda alias Tonny alias Major Mganda appeared before Principal Prosecution Counsel Mr. Antony Musyoka where he was charged with committing the offence on 16th October 2021at Kadzandani area within Nyali Sub-County.

“A retired Major Antony Jakaa Mganda alias Tonny alias Major Mganda was charged today in Shanzu Law Court with two counts of defilement and two alternative counts of committing an indecent act with a child and trafficking in persons.
Principal Prosecution Counsel Mr. Antony Musyoka told the court that the accused person intentionally and unlawfully defiled a child aged 12 years on 16th October,2021, at Mwatamba/Kadzandani area within Nyali Sub-County in Mombasa.
It is alleged that the victim was on her way to school when she was approached by the accused persons, who offered her a lift using a motor vehicle Toyota Harrier, black in colour, and he drove past the school gate to his rented house.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges before Senior Resident Magistrate Robert Mbogo.
The court will deliver a ruling on the bond on 23rd May 2025.” said ODPP
