A suspected child trafficker who had been arrested in Kiminini, Trans-Nzoia County has formally been arraigned in court.
58-year-old Gilbert Nyabuto Musome was arrested at Nyamira Villahe following a tip off from the public where he was found to be in possession of fake documents.

“A 56-year-old suspect, Gilbert Nyabuto Musome, previously arrested in Kiminini, Trans Nzoia County over suspected child trafficking, has been formally arraigned in court.
His arrest followed a tip-off from members of the public after he aroused suspicion at Nyamira Village. He was subsequently presented before court, where he faces charges of trafficking in persons contrary to Section 3(1), (2) and (5) of the Counter-Trafficking in Persons Act, 2011 and false representation contrary to Section 55 of the National Intelligence Service Act.” said DCI
He was however released on Ksh 40,000 cash bail or a bond of KSh 80,000 with one surety of a similar amount. The case is set for hearing on 15th May 2026.
