Police acting on an intelligence report have arrested a suspected drug trafficker in Karambaini Tea Zone, Kiambaa Sub-County.
At the time of the arrest, the suspect was riding a TVS Star motorcycle and posing as a khat trader, only to be found in possession of 800 rolls of bhang.
Both the suspect and the exhibits have been taken in by the police pending a date with the court.
“The suspect, who was riding a TVS Star motorcycle (registration KMCY 735B) and posing as a khat transporter, was found with 800 rolls of cannabis concealed in a woven bag, along with KSh 3,795 believed to be proceeds of crime.
Both the suspect and the exhibits are in police custody, pending arraignment.
