Detectives investigating the assassination of Kasipul MP Charles Were have arrested the suspected gunman in the incident that shocked the country.
The suspect identified as Isaac Kuria, alias Kush was arrested at Isebania after a period of a serious manhunt that saw the suspect move from one county to the other trying to get into hiding.

Kuria has been identified as the man who pulled the trigger that ended the MP’s life is also linked to the crimes within Nairobi and was on his way to Tanzania when he was arrested.
Before fleeing to Isebania, the suspect is reported to have disposed off the murder weapon in Mihanga, a weapon which has since been recovered by detectives who were hot on his heals.
According to the police, the suspect used a motorbike and public means to travel to Isebania and on his way he was in contact with a relative who stays in Tanzania.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect was found in the company of another person who was also apprehended. The two are expected to be presented before JKIA Law court on Monday.
