“Detectives have arrested three suspects believed to be behind a cross-county stock theft syndicate operating in Embu and Kirinyaga.
The operation began with the arrest of Alex Mwangi and Anthony Macharia in Embu, where officers impounded a Toyota Sienta, the vehicle allegedly used to ferry stolen animals under the cover of darkness.
The dragnet then extended to Kerugoya town, where detectives apprehended Mercy Nyaguthi Njiru, the receiver of stolen livestock.
All three suspects are currently in custody, undergoing processing, pending arraignment,” said DCI
