Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has launched an attack against Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja in regard to the affordable houses.
Taking on social media, the MP warned the Governor to stay away from the land in Kwa Njenga and the nearby areas all in the name of constructing the affordable houses.

He continued by accusing the current regime of forcefully evicting people from Mukuru kwa Njenga since they cannot afford the affordable houses in the area.
“We reject the push to forcefully evict wananchi from Mukuru kwa Njenga simply because they can’t afford to buy un-Affordable houses launched in the area .
Our people will not be forced to buy what they cannot afford to buy. The Wamadimplez and his team must keep off the land in Kwa Njenga and the nearby areas, we know their appetite for land but we will protect our people. No one will be forcefully evicted and we will only buy the unaffordable houses if they cost Kshs. 0.00.” said MP Babu Owino
The statement comes at a time when Kenyans have questioned the 30 years duration buyers of bedsitters will have to pay for it, terming it a long duration.
