Liverpool manager Arne Slot has called for more work to be put to avaoid racism in football following recent allegations by Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr.
The Tuesday incident saw the Brazilian winger accuse the Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni of racially abusing him during their 1-0 win in the Champions League play offs.
Both the Benfica winger, the club and manager Jose Mourinho denied the allegations even though UEFA confirmed that they were investigating the issue.

“In general you can never do enough, you can always do more to make sure this (racism in football) never happens again,” said Slot
“We have to try as a football community to do more than society does. That’s maybe not so difficult, by the way. Protocol was followed in the game, that’s the first step,” he continued

Sot also called on patience if people are to see the best of Isaak who has been sidenlined due to injury he sustained early in their campaign.
“Unfortunately for him and us we haven’t seen the best Alexander Isak. We will next season”.
