Arsenal thrash Atletico Madrid 4-0 in their Champions League fixture

Premier League giants Arsenal displayed dominance at the Emirates Stadium, thrashing Atletico Madrid 4-0 in their Champions League fixture.

After a goalless first half, Mikel Arteta’s side netted four goals in a record 13 minutes to record seven wins against Spanish clubs.

Gabriel Maghales opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 56th minute from a set piece, sending the ball past the visitors’ net.

Myles Lewis-Skelly set up Gabriel Martinelli for the second one in the 64th minute before the Brazilian curled the ball in what was an exceptional assist and finish.

Gyokeres did not want to be left out of the party, especially after his superb play. The Swedish international hit the ball from close range for the third goal of the match.

He doubled his tally for the Gunners three minutes later, finishing off a Gabriel Maghales’ header right in the box.

This is the second straight Champions League win for Mikel Arteta’s side, who are in superb form and favorites to clinch both the Champions League and Premier League this season.
