Football governing body UEFA has fined Barcelona, Chelsea, Lyon, Aston Villa and AS Roma over breach of financial Fair Play regulations.
The fines will see Chelsea pay € 20 million, Barcelona €15 million, Lyon €12.5 million Aston Villa €11 million and AS Roma €3 million.
The news has however not surprised many Chelsea fans who had at one predicted it given the many players they were signing following its takeover.
Chelsea successfully offloaded all old players and in there place brought in a high number of young players raising questions into its plans for the future.
