The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has dropped murder charges against eight senior police officers in the murder of Baby Samatha Pendo.
The remaining four police officers have on Monday been charged with the murder that occurred in 2017, in Kisumu County.
John Chengo Masha, Lina Kogey, Cyprine Robi Wankio, and James Rono are facing murder and rape charges as reviewed by DPP.

John Chengo Masha who is a senior officer faces charges of murder, rape, and crimes against humanity as told before the court.
He is accused of not stopping his juniors from beating up residents and raping over 20 women at the height of post-election violence.
Under his watch, officers under him raped women in turn and subjected residents to other forms of abuse including demanding bribe payment of between Ksh 200 and Ksh 500.
