Tech billionaire Elon Musk has officially launched the America Party, a party that will challenge both Democrats and Republicans in the U.S.
In a past post, Musk revealed the need to have a party that will create freedom of speech in the country.
“By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it! When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy.

Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.” said Elon Musk.
On Thursday, the billionaire revealed that the best day to announce the news was on Independence day given the agenda of the party revolves around it.
“Independence Day is the perfect time to ask if you want independence from the two-party (some would say uniparty) system!

The formation of the new party follows his recent fallout with President Donald Trump following his policy on Electronic Vehicles.
Trump confirmed that Musk was aware of his stand with EV’s and that he has greatly benefited from government subsidies.
