Five star Arsenal beat Leeds in first home fixture

Premier League giants Arsenal thrashed Leeds five goal to nil in their first home fixture of the season.

New signing Viktor Gyokeres netted twice in the clash, ending speculation over his usefulness in the club following his dramatic signing.

The highlight of the match was how they netted two of the five goals from set-pieces, a trick that the Gunners have been good at and have been taking advantage of since the arrival of Mikel Arteta.

15-year-old Max Dowman was the icing on the cake, making his first senior league appearance of the season, and was instrumental in leading to Viktor Gyokeres’ second goal from the spot.

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were both subbed in the second and first half respectively raising questions over the seriousness of their injuries.

MIekl Arteta confirmed that they will have to access Bukayo’s injury to know how long he will remain sidelined.

“We have to wait to understand how long he will be out”. he said.

“I haven’t spoke to the doctor yet but for Bukayo to come off, it’s significant”.he continued
