Kenya Airways (KQ) plane KQ100 from Nairobi to London Heathrow Airport has received potential security threat.
“Kenya Airways PLC (“KQ”) confirms that on Thursday, 12th October 2023, at around 10:30hrs, KQ Headquarters received an alert of a potential security threat on board KQ100 operating from Nairobi to London Heathrow,” said KQ

The airline in conjunction with the Kenyan government and the United Kingdom conducted a risk assessment of the threat.
Those on board including the crew were briefed on the development before all security precautions were undertaken to ensure their safety and security. They were however able to land safely at Stansted airport in London.
“KQ management in conjunction with the security authorities of the Government of Kenya and the United Kingdom carried out a thorough risk assessment of the threat.
The crew onboard were briefed, and all safety and security precautions were taken to ensure the safety and security of our crew and passengers on board.” read the statement.
