A man has been arrested after hacking to death a boy inside the house of his ex-lover in Ndenderu area, Kiambu County.
According to reports, the man managed to sweet talk the boy outside the gate before making his way inside the house where his ex-lover lives.
It was at the house where he hacked the boy before turning to the house girl who managed to scream calling the attention of neighbours.
The man attempted to escape the scene before he was trapped inside a pit where he was assisted by firefighters from Kiambu County.
The mother of the boy who managed to escape the incident recorded the statement with the police.
The body of the 8-year-old boy was taken to  Kihara Hospital Mortuary pending autopsy as the injured house girl was rushed to Kiambu Level 5 Hospital for treatment.
