Haaland doubled the lead in the 88th minute from the penalty spot after Phil Foden had doubled the lead in the 68th minute, thanks to Rayan Cherki’s assist.
The win leaves Manchester City in second place with 34 points, two behind league leaders Arsenal, who won their Saturday fixture against Wolves.
