DCI detectives have arrested a notorious drug trafficker and recovered bhang worth Ksh 7 million in Narok.
The illegal substances were nabbed along the Sotik-Kaplong highway when the police flagged down a vehicle, and upon inspectio,n they discoved the narcotics.
“During a routine patrol along the Sotik-Kaplong highway, the officers flagged down a Toyota Isis, registration number KBT 147X, for a check. However, in a brazen move, the driver suddenly abandoned the vehicle and bolted on foot, raising suspicions.

Upon quick inspection of the vehicle, officers discovered seven sacks of bhang inside the vehicle. The seized narcotics, along with the abandoned vehicle, were promptly transported to Sotik Police Station for further processing.
Determined to bring the fugitive to justice, investigators launched an intensive manhunt. Through forensic leads, they trailed the suspect, identified as Diab Asman Bhakit, to his hideout in Kibra, Nairobi, subsequently arresting him.
Bhakit has been escorted back to Sotik Police Station, where he is currently in custody, undergoing processing as he awaits arraignment,” said DCI
