Nottingham Forest have approached former Italian midfielder Roberto Mancini immediately after sacking Ange Postecoglou.
The 60-year-old has however not given any green light to the approach even though talks have just begun between both camps.
“Nottingham Forest made formal approach with Roberto Mancini after Postecoglou got sacked. Mancini hasn’t given any indication on his plans yet as talks have just started,” said Fabrizio Romano.
Nottingham will now back the transfer with high hopes that the Italian will replicate his success at Manchester City.
“Nottingham Forest have had contact with Roberto Mancini as option to become new NFFC boss, according to sources in Italy. 60yo available + PL experienced from successful MCFC spell,” said David Ornestein
