Spanish side Real Betis has failed to reach an agreement with Manchester United over the transfer of Antony this transfer window.
Through a statement, Betis said that they cannot afford the fees and amounts requested by Manchester United thus the need to withdraw from the deal.
Betis also called on Ruben Amorim’s club to instead pay the player before anything can be discussed moving forward.
“There is no agreement for Antony and we have withdrawn the offer. We can’t afford the fee and the amounts that Manchester United must instead pay the player before the transfer,” read the statement
The news comes at a time when a number of Manchester United players have forced their way outside the club.
Antony who left last season on loan, has enjoyed his say in Spain becoming an important player for Betis who planned to make his transfer permanent.
