A section of Nairobi National Park is currently on fire with the cause of the inferno yet to be established as per the sources.
Through videos shared online, the inferno could be spotted from parts of Nairobi in what is believed to have began as a bush fire before spreading.

The news also comes barely a week after a similar incident occurred at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) grassland area before it was contained thanks to a multi action team comprising of fire fighters from the government.
Other sources privy to the Nairobi National Park incident revealed that it could be seen from the Standard Gauge Railways and was spreading quickly.
A group dubbed ‘Friends of the Nairobi National Park’ confirmed that a team from the Kenya Wildlife Service were on the scene to access the situation.
