Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has officially been charged with rape by the Metropolitan Police Service.
Approving his prosecution was the Crown Prosecution Service who authorized Metropolitan Police to proceed with the case after receiving his file.

Partey is now facing five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, incidents that are said to have happened between the year 2021 and 2022.
“The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge a man after a file of evidence was submitted by detectives.
The Met has issued a charge and requisition to Thomas Partey, 32 (13/06/1992), of Hertfordshire, in connection with the following offences: Five counts of rape, One count of sexual assault.” read the statement
The news has however not been received well by Arsenal fans who feel the club has either been protecting him or decided to have him face the legal battles alone.
This comes days after the Ghanaian’s contract came to an end and was meant to depart the club as a free agent as at the end of June 2025.
