At least 13 people have been killed and several others injured in Nepal during a social media ban protest near the parliament.
The clash between protesters and security personnel followed the ban on Facebook, X, and YouTube by the government.
Reports indicate that the huge crowd forced the police to deploy teargas, water cannons, and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.

They, however, breached the parliament security, climbing on the wall, forcing the police to disperse them.
“Tear gas and water cannons were used after the protesters breached the restricted area,” said police spokesman Shekhar Khanal
Curfew around parliament area has already been imposed and a small unit of soldiers has been deployed.
