Cherargei to Omatath, you need a minimum of Ksh 7B to run for Presidency

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has on Saturday advised fellow Senator Okiya Omtatah on what he need to knwo before running for Presidency in the counrty.

Taking on social media, Cherargei first wished him all the best in his political ambition but advised him to first have at least Ksh 7 billion to vie for the top seat.

He continued by advising him to get a voting bloc with a strong grassroot presence far from the social media hype that the ground many may not be aware of.

Last but not least was that he should be aware of President William Ruto’s candidacy, a man who defeated ODM party leader Raila Odinga in the 2022 elections.

“To my brother and colleague senator Okiya Omtatah while I wish you well in your Presidential bid they are few things you need to be aware of such as to run a successful presidential campaign you need minimum of 7B ; a voting bloc that’s established; grass roots network that aren’t even aware of social media existence/hype plus to vie against H.E Ruto is a toll order who outwitted & outsmarted the government candidate Raila odinga in 2022 General elections.” he said.

Even though Okiya Omtatah has not declared his candidacy, he formed a Presidential Exploratory Committee. that will gather input by listening to the people on key challenges facing the country before handing over the report to him.

“We are at a pivotal moment in our nation’s history, and the call to serve has never been more urgent. After careful consideration and consultations with trusted advisors, community leaders, and citizens from all walks of life, I am pleased to announce the formation of a Presidential Exploratory Committee.

This committee will thoroughly assess the viability of my candidacy for the 2027 presidential election. Its primary focus will be to engage with the public, gather input on the most pressing challenges facing our nation, and determine how best to address these issues with bold and innovative leadership.” he said
