Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has led detectives to the raid of a drug den in Kitale where recoveries were done.
Working hand-in-hand with the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) officials, Murkomen and the team recovered canabis with a street value of Ksh 3 million.

“Following our directive to intensify the crackdown on drug barons and second-generation alcohol merchants, our security agencies, working with NACADA Kenya, yesterday raided a suspected drug den in Kitale town and recovered cannabis valued at over Sh3 million.
Those involved in this crime will face the full force of the law.” he said
He continued by promising that such raids will continue across the country in order to ensure that the harmful substances do not harm the lives of young people.
“We must do everything to safeguard our nation from the devastating effects of drugs and illicit brews..
Similar crackdowns will continue across the country until we rid our nation of these harmful substances which are ruining the lives of our young people.” he said
