The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) has confirmed the nomination of two candidates who will participate in the upcoming by-elections.
The two are lawyer Edgar Busiega and Aden Mohamed who will vie for the Malava parliamentary seat in Kakamega County and Banisa constituency in Mandera County respectively.
Confirming the news was the party’s Deputy leader Cleophas Malala who said that they will field more candidates in the other seats.

As it stands, DCP claims to have registered 1.8 million Kenyans since its launch two months ago.
“We have decided that we are going to field candidates in all the by-elections in Kenya—all the 22 MCA seats and all the six parliamentary by-elections. We are going to field candidates even in the Nyanza region.” said Malala
Malala also called out IEBC requesting for transparency in the upcoming general elections as well as take action against those planning to rig.
“We want to ask IEBC, we must now see you swinging into action. We will file a petition against those members who have made such reckless statements,” he added
