The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has raided the home of senior government officials accused of embezzling Ksh 3.8 billion.
The officials from the Ministry of Sports saw their homes, offices, and private businesses linked to the fraud raided by the officers.
According to EACC, the officials are accused of unlawful acquisition of public property and abuse of office, among other charges, at the Ministry.

It has also been revealed that the alleged fraud occurred between the 2020/2021 and 2025/2026 financial years.
EACC believes that the said money was siphoned through travel and other expenses, using their private business after they had colluded on how to steal it.
The operation conducted in Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Nyeri, and Nanyuki saw the EACC detectives recover Ksh 3.5 million in cash, tittle deeds, high end vehicles among other items.
