Fuel prices to start dropping from December, says President Ruto

President William Ruto has promised Kenyans that they should expect fuel prices to start dropping December 2023.

Speaking on Saturday in Ndia, Kirinyaga County, the Head of State noted about the high fuel prices which have hiked in recent months as he confirmed that the government is working towards reducing the prices.

“Ingawa bei duniani kote inapanda, tunafuata vile inapanda na tumetafuta namna ili bei isipite mahali Wakenya wengi wataumia. Mmeona kuanzia mwezi huu hiyo bei imeanza kuteremka.

Mwezi ujao itateremka zaidi, na mwezi huo mwingine hivyo hivyo…mpaka tuahakikishe tunaweza kuendesha uchumi wetu vile inafaa.” said the President.

The President continued by praising his move of cutting a deal with the Middle East to supply the country with duel payable after six months in Kenya Shillings so as to cut dependency on the dollar.

Hivyo ndio maana Kenya haikosi mafuta.” he said

President William Ruto rubbished a dossier on the country’s fuel prices saying that the country was buying at the cheapest prices compared to there neighbours Tanzania and Uganda.
