Juja MP George Koimburi arraigned in court over abduction allegation

Juja MP George Koimburi has been arraigned before Milimani Law court over abduction allegation.

The legislator is accused of faking his abduction so as to evade arrest in a land fraud case that he is facing.

“After several attempts to evade the long arm of the law, Hon. George Koimburi, Member of Parliament for Juja, finally appeared before court on 23rd July 2025.

He was arraigned before Hon. Ben Mark Ekhubi, Principal Magistrate at Milimani Law Courts, Court No. 5, for plea taking, where he faced conspiracy charges related to his alleged abduction.” said DCI

The MP was released on Ksh 300,000 with the case set to be mentioned on 5th August 2025.

He was arraigned before Hon. Ben Mark Ekhubi, Principal Magistrate at Milimani Law Courts, Court No. 5, for plea taking, where he faced conspiracy charges related to his alleged abduction.

Hon. Koimburi pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of KSh 300,000, with the additional condition of providing three contact persons.

The matter is scheduled for mention on 5th August 2025 for pre-trial proceedings, before Court No. 5 at Milimani Law Courts.” said DCI
