Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has confirmed the transition from the old eCitizen platform to the new upgraded KWSpay system.
Through a statement, KWS noted that the new system offers a more seamless, enhanced, and flexible process of booking and making payments for KWS services.
They continued by confirming that the new system offers multiple payment methods, including Mpesa, cards, bank transfers, and eWallet options, effective November 1st, 2025.

All transactions will apply a monthly dollar exchange rate as recommended by the Central Bank of Kenya. The dollar exchange rate will be reviewed monthly, where any changes will be communicated via the KWS website and the KWSpay portal.
Other charges include a nominal administrative fee per transaction and a 5% gateway gateway fee charged per transaction in line with the Central Bank of Kenya approval.
Payments through the bank will also incur an additional charge of up to 3.5% as revealed by KWS.
