Laikipia rancher Lucy Wambui Jennings has on Thursday morning succumbed to gun wounds while receiving treatment.
The rancher was shot on Sunday in Rumuruti before she was rushed to Pope Benedict XIV Hospital in Nyahururu for treatment.
Confirming the incident was Lucy Wambui Jennings’s brother who said that her sister was receiving treatment at the facility ICU before her condition worsened on Thursday before passing away.

At the time of her hospitalization, she had been shot in the head and hands by unknown assailants on Sunday while heading to Church.
Already the police have arrested six suspects who have are helping them in the investigation pending arraignment in court.
Residents of Laikipia have decried of insecurity in the region which is not forthcoming despite pleas to the government. They said that their lives are in danger and the case of Lucy was one among many.
