Premier League side Liverpool has vowed to honour their fallen striker Diogo Jota by continuing to pay his weekly salary to his family.
Jota’s £140,000 weekly salary will now be paid to his family for two years, the period he was left with in his contract with Liverpool.
The news follows his emotional funeral that was attended by Liverpool players in Gondomar, Portugal.
The news has been welcomed by many football fans on social media and has also been linked to there motto ‘You’ll never walk alone.’
28-year-old Diogo Jota died alongside his brother André Silva following a grisly accident in Spain. This after the Lamborghini they were driving veered off the road and busrt into flames.
