Martin Zubimendi’s double sinks Nottingham Forest at Emirates

Premier League giants Arsenal delivered a dominant display against Nottingham Forest thanks to a brace from Martin Zubimendi.

The Spaniard opened his account for the Gunners in a spectacular way, finishing off with a volley just outside the box.

The host was, however, forced to make an early substitution after the captain, Martin Odegaard, suffered an injury. Ethan Nwaneri stepped in to take his spot.

In the second half, new signings Eze and Gyokeres paired together for the second goal of the afternoon. Gyokeres netted his third of the season from four matches played.

Zubimendi sealed the three-goal rout after picking a Trossard cross to equal his goal tally back at Real Sociedad.

Even though Zubimendi was named player of the match, Arsenal fans were more than impressed with Madueke, who piled more pressure on Nottingham, winning several corners.

The win will be one to remember for Mikel Arteta, who is missing several first-team players, including Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Kai Havertz.
