Meru Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) have tabled a second motion to impeach Governor Kawira Mwangaza.
It is the second time that the embattled governor is facing allegation of gross misconduct, abuse of office and gross violation of the law as revealed by the MCAs.
Tabling the motion was Mituguu MCA Evans Mawira who accused the Governor of failing to deliver county expectations despite surviving the first impeachment back in December 2022.

“The Governor’s continued stay in office has persistently undermined effective and efficient service delivery and gravely hurt the interests of the people of the County,” said the MCA\
He continued by accusing the Governor of insulting and excluding her subordinates including the Deputy Governor in public.
“Encouraging and condoning insubordination and the making of insulting and demeaning public utterances by subordinate staff against the Deputy Governor and other elected leaders,” he said
Governor Kawira Mwangaza is on the receiving end after employing her husband as the head of Youth affairs in the county in addition to her immediate family members.
