The news comes at a time when the company recorded the highest dip in the number of customers due to the high cost of packages and the emergence of online streaming applications.
Currently, the company has 188,824 subscribers, down from the 1.19 million subscribers it had before June 2025.
Multichoice has also reduced the installation fee of the dish full kit from Ksh 2,000 to Ksh 1,650 and the price of the GOtv antenna from Ksh 1,000 to Ksh 700. The move is aimed at wooing customers.
Subscribers on the Premium package now pay Ksh 11,000 from Ksh 11,700, while those on the Compact Plus package pay Ksh 6,800 from Ksh 7,300.
The price cuts are the first after French broadcaster Canal+ acquired the company. The September deal was sealed after Canal+ acquired 94.6 percent shares of MultiChoice.
