The police have intensified their crackdown on narcotics in Busia, this time arresting one suspect in possession of 201 rolls of bhang.
The arrest follows a crackdown conducted in Malaba town where two notorious suspects were arrested.

“National Police Service officers from Malaba Police Station, Teso North Sub-County, Busia County, today, 25th July 2025, conducted a successful crackdown on narcotic drugs in Malaba Town, arresting two notorious suspects.
One suspect was found in possession of 201 rolls of bhang, dried green plant suspected to be Cannabis sativa, weighing 500 grams, and two packets of brown Rizla papers while the second suspect was arrested with 21 rolls of bhang.
Both suspects were taken to Malaba Police Station and placed in custody, awaiting arraignment.
