President William Ruto has deployed the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to supervise the construction of health facilities in the country.
The Head of State was speaking from Narok County where he commissioned the construction of Sogoo Level 4 hospital where Defence PS Patrick Mariru confirmed that the facility will be completed in 11 months.
The facility was not in good state during the President’s last visit back in May before instructing KDF to ensure that that it is constructed accordingly.

“The army will supervise the contractor. It is as clear as that. All the labour will be done by the youths in Sogoo. We will put two officers and every evening they will give me a report on the progress.
We have over 75 projects we are supervising and it is not that we are replacing agencies of government we just want to partner with different offices among them the ministries of health and sports,” said PS Patrick
Governor Patrick Ntutu welcomed the news revealing how residents have been travelling to Bomet County to access health services.
The Governor continued by revealing how President William Ruto had pledged to ensure the construction of the hospital through KDF.
