Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed that President William Ruto offered him Ksh 2 billion to resign from office.
Speaking to the media, the former DP noted that the deal was not only to resign but can also rise one day and vie for Presidency.

According to Gachagua, he opted not to take the deal as it was unrealistic to take such a direction but for him it is about Kenyans and what matters the matters the most to people.
“President Ruto offered me Ksh.2 billion to resign from office so that I could run in the 2027 elections. I am not selfish and don’t need to be an elected leader in this country; however, if I want to, I will.” he said
The revelation further cements the political rivalry that the two leaders have before and after his impeachment with the case still in court.
The former DP has recently launched an attack at the government due to over taxation which has really affected pay slips of salaried Kenyans making life unbearable for many.
On Sunday he promised to issue a statement on February 9th detailing his political direction after gathering view from many leaders and people at large.
