President William Ruto has on Tuesday appointed Erastus Edung Ethekon as the new IEBC chairperson alongside six commissioners.
Through a gazette notice dated June 10, 2025, President William Ruto also appointed Ann Nderitu as the Registrar of Political Parties.

The sisx commissioners appointed alongside the chairperson include Moses Alutalala Mukhwana, Mary Karen Sorobit, Hassan Noor Hassan, Francis Odhiambo Aduol, and Fahima Araphat Abdallah.
The news comes a week after the appointments he had made went through parliament for vetting before they were approved.
Both the Chairperson and the six commissioners will serve their new positions for a period of six years according to the notice issued.
