Even though the civilian was present ay the court, the statement of the police was expected to be recorded first before that of any person.
On 5th February, Isaiah Ndumba Murangir told the court that those who shot Rex Masai were criminals and not the poilice officers.
Murangiri continued by insisting that the June 20th incident was led by criminals which could be seen from the videos.
“Even as we are talking now there are criminals with firearms,” Murangiri told the court
Earlier, Murangiri had told the court that on the material day he had been issued with a teargas launcher which according to him could not kill anyone.
The court also found contradicting information on what he was wearing and what he had told the court during the hearing process. The case has been adjourned to 13th and 14th March 2025.
