Telco giants Safaricom has denied any involvement in the arrest and subsequent death of social media influencer Albert Ojwang.
Through a statement, Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa downplayed allegations raised about the company by former Attorney General Justin Muturi who accused them of sharing crucial date to the police.

“On the onset, Safaricom wishes to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late Albert.” he said
“At no point was there any contact between Safaricom and any security agency in investigating or arresting the late Albert,” he added.
The death of the 31-year-old has sparked uproar among Kenyans who demand justice and prosecution of all those linked to the incident.
